Two introductory courses, one in mathematics, one in statistics, will be offered between Sept. 9 and Sept. 12, 2025.
Mathematics An introductory course in Mathematics will be offered in September 2025 according to the timetable below. It will introduce basic notions about functions of one variable, such as the function's graph, domain, range, inverse, monotonicity, elementary functions, limits, continuity, differential calculus, maximization/minimization. These notions will be useful for the courses of Mathematics for Economics and Mathematical Methods for Economic Analysis, as well as for each other course which relies on quantitative tools.

Statistics An introductory course in Statistics will be offered in September 2025 according to the timetable below. It will introduce basic definitions, fundamental theorems and formulaes of probability theory. These notions will be useful for the courses Statistical Inference, Measurement and Causes of Poverty, and for each econometrics course.
