EUniWell is an alliance funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020 programmes and brings together 12 universities with a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach, aiming to make an impact on teaching, research, and the relationship between universities and their communities. In addition to the University of Florence, the alliance includes the Universities of Birmingham (England), Cologne (Germany), Konstanz (Germany), Inalco (France), Linnaeus (Sweden), Murcia (Spain), Nantes (France), Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Semmelweis (Hungary), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine), Medical University of Warsaw (Poland). EUniWell also includes over 60 associated partners from all sectors of society.
The main mission of EUniWell is to understand, improve, measure, and rebalance the well-being of individuals, communities, and society as a whole -- indeed, EUniWell stands for The European University for Well-Being.
Teaching and research activities are carried out through Thematic Arenas and Work Packages, which bring together academics, experts, administrative and technical staff, and students from all partner universities.
The EUniWell Thematic Arenas are as follows:

Arena 3: Environmental Change and Well-Being
Arena 4: Culture, Multilingualism and Well-Being
Arena 5: Teacher Education and Well-Being
EUniWell is committed to promoting well-being across these five interdisciplinary research areas, which are also aligned with theSustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the priority areas of the OECD and the Council of the EU.
