Eramus+ for Studies is a European Union program which allows students to spend a few months of their university career studying at a university abroad, in a European country, where the student attends courses, takes exams, and possibly works on the master thesis (even during the mobility period, the student can take exams at Unifi).
The call for applications is issued once per year, typically in the month of January with deadline in February: please see this webpage. The students who will be selected on the basis of the call of January 2026 will spend the first or the second semester of the a.y. 2026-27 at a university abroad.
Each selected student will receive financial support as described here, and must prepare a Learning Agreement with the assistance of the professor in charge for international mobility: Donato Romano for students of the curriculum Development Economics, Lapo Filistrucchi for students of the curriculum Economics. The Learning Agreement specifies the exams the student plans to take at the destination university and the exams which, as a result, will be recognized in the MSc Economics and Development upon the student's return to Unifi; recognition can occur only for exams of courses of MSc programs.
Please find here guidelines by professors Romano and Filistrucchi on preparing the Learning Agreement.
The School of Economics and Management maintains a webpage about Erasmus+ for Studies which provides very useful information, including how to apply and the deadlines. The website of Unifi has a few pages on Erasmus+ for Studies, including here and here.
A key step to participate in Eramus+ for Studies is to determine the destination university. Please find here a page about this topic.
For general information, see here.

Except for particular cases which require authorization by the teaching committee of the MSc, each student who engages in international mobility spends one semester abroad. No more than 30 ECTS per semester abroad can be recognized.
